The last person to see the Queen lying in state has said it was an “honour” and called her an “amazing lady who will never be replaced”.
People lined up for miles – many through the night – to see the Queen‘s coffin, but the viewing closed at 6.30am after more than four days.
The coffin will now leave Westminster Hall shortly after 10.35am in a procession to Westminster Abbey and the funeral starts at 11am.
The last person in the queue was Chrissy Heerey, from near High Wycombe, who like thousands before her bowed her head in silence.
It was the second time she had viewed the lying in state in 24 hours and now plans to stay to watch the funeral.
Ms Heerey, who serves with the RAF, last joined the line at 4.45pm on Sunday.
