Senators have made it official: Leave the shorts and hoodies at home.

The Senate on Wednesday passed a two-page resolution formally reinstating the business dress attire on the chamber floor amid ire from some senators about relaxing the standards.

The resolution states the code for men will “include a coat, tie, and slacks or other long pants,” a rebuke of sorts to Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.), who favors sweatshirts and shorts while walking around the upper chamber.

But Fetterman’s only comment following the vote was a bemused-looking photo of actor Kevin James, shrugging with his hands in his pockets, a popular recent meme.

“We drafted this simple two-page resolution that’ll put all of this to bed once and for all, by codifying the long-standing practice into a Senate Rule and making it very clear for the sergeant of arms to enforce,” said Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), who led the resolution with Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah).
