Viva Magenta has been unveiled as Pantone’s “colour of the year” for 2023.
The colour is “brave and fearless” and “promotes a joyous and optimistic celebration, writing a new narrative”, the design company has said.
Pantone says Viva Magenta is a shade “rooted in nature descending from the red family and expressive of a new signal of strength”.
Pantone’s colour of the year has become increasingly influential in the world of design and brand marketing since it was first introduced in 2000.
Here are some people who have embraced magenta in recent years.
