Norman Reedus, the star of the long-running zombie series The Walking Dead, has suffered a concussion on set, which has pushed back the filming of the show’s final episodes.
It is not clear if cameras were rolling when Reedus, who plays Daryl, was injured, with Deadline saying the incident took place last week.
Speaking to the publication, Jeffrey Chassen, Reedus’ spokesperson said: “Norman suffered a concussion on set. He is recovering well and will return to work soon.

“Thank you to everyone for their concern.”
The Walking Dead is filming its final scenes as the show comes close to wrapping its 11th and final season.
Production company AMC has been forced to postpone its final day of filming as a result of Reedus’ injury, it said.
Reedus, alongside a number of his Walking Dead co-stars, was due to appear at a convention in Atlanta, Georgia – where the show has been filmed since 2011 – this weekend, but had pulled out after his injury.

Sky News has reached out to Reedus’ representatives for comment.
This is not the first time the actor has been injured on set – he suffered cuts to his arms while shooting in a barn for season five.
Speaking to Sky News last summer during a break in filming, Reedus, 53, said the end of the show will be “surreal”.

“It’s been such a big part of my life, this show and living out here in Georgia, I kind of go home to New York on my vacation time.
“So I don’t know. I’m trying not to think about it. I know it’s going to happen.”
This won’t be the end of his time with his character Daryl, though, as he will appear in a spin-off of the show with fan favourite Carole, played by Melissa McBride.
The concluding season of The Walking Dead is streaming now on Disney+.
