Two people were taken to hospital after a car crashed into the side of a pub in Birmingham.
The Fiat 500 hatchback crashed into Shannons’s Pub on Bordesley Green, ending up with its front end in the pub and demolishing a wall and smashing a plate glass window.
The incident happened at 12.30am on Tuesday, while the pub was closed.
Emergency services were called to the incident and found two women who had been inside the car.
They were assessed and treated for minor injuries at the scene.
West Midlands Fire Service’s Highgate crew said: “We often attend incidents where a slight change in circumstances such as direction or time, could’ve resulted in tragedy.
