The Crown has bagged 24 Emmy nominations, as British talent shines through at the set-piece television awards.
The Crown bagged several nominations in the main categories – for best drama, stars Olivia Colman and Emma Corrin for best actress in a drama, and Josh O’Connor for best actor in a drama.
Emerald Fennell, Helena Bonham-Carter and Gillian Anderson also picked up nods in the supporting actress category for their appearances in the show, while Claire Foy and Charles Dance were recognised for their guest roles in the royal drama.
It will go up against raunchy Netflix show Bridgerton for the coveted best drama trophy, while Rege-Jean Page is up in the best drama actor category.
Meanwhile, Michaela Coel’s I May Destroy You has also had several nods, including for best limited series and best actress in a limited series, as well as recognition for its writing and directing.
Sky Original Mare Of Easttown also scored a number of nominations, including for best limited series, Kate Winslet for best actress in a miniseries in the title role, and Evan Peters for best supporting actor in a miniseries.
