A suspect has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman who was murdered in her own home just days before Christmas.
Ann Coll, 61, was found with serious injuries at the flat in Newfield Place, Rutherglen, at around 12.45am on Friday 22 December.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and police subsequently launched a murder probe.
On Friday, Police Scotland said a 37-year-old woman had been arrested in connection with Ms Coll’s death.
A force spokesperson said: “Further enquiries are ongoing.”

Following Ms Coll’s death, officers took to the streets of the South Lanarkshire town and carried out door-to-door enquiries in an effort to piece together her final movements.
Police Scotland issued a number of public appeals, and last week announced detectives were following a “positive line of inquiry”.
The investigating team said the answer to solving the case “lies within the community” and appealed for all those with information to come forward.
