A suspect armed with a crossbow is on the run in Germany after a school shooting.
A manhunt is under way after shots were fired at the Lloyd Gymnasium high school in the northern city of Bremerhaven, west of Hamburg, according to local media.
One person, who is not a student, has been wounded in the attack and taken to hospital, police confirmed.
One suspect was detained after the shooting, while a second suspect armed with a crossbow is still on the run, the Bild newspaper reported.
A police spokeswoman said the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

“The police have the situation on site under control.

“Police measures are continuing.
“The armed person was detained and is in police custody,” a statement added.
A schoolgirl who heard the shots called police, according to online newspaper Nord24 – which reported that students barricaded themselves inside their classrooms during the incident.
