Tottenham have sacked manager Nuno Espirito Santo after less than five months in charge following a disappointing start to the season.
His coaching staff have also been relieved of their duties, the north London club said in a statement.
The Portuguese manager was only hired in June.
Spurs’ football managing director Fabio Paratici said: “I know how much Nuno and his coaching staff wanted to succeed and I regret that we have had to take this decision.
“Nuno is a true gentleman and will always be welcome here. We should like to thank him and his coaching staff and wish them well for the future.”
It comes after Spurs went down 3-0 at home to Manchester United on Saturday, leaving them languishing in eighth in the Premier League table.
