Police investigating the murder of Ashling Murphy have arrested a second man for questioning in relation to potential withholding of information.
Gardai say the man, in his 30s, has been detained in the eastern part of Ireland and it follows the arrest on Tuesday of another man on Tuesday in connection with the school teacher’s murder.
Ms Murphy, 23, was found dead after going for a run on the banks of the Grand Canal in Tullamore, County Offaly, at around 4pm on Wednesday 12 January.
