A man who died after being found unconscious in a South Lanarkshire street has been named by police as detectives continue to investigate his murder.
Robert Yuill, 33, was found injured in Smyllum Road, Lanark, at around 9.45am on Saturday.
Emergency services attended but Mr Yuill, from the local area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A murder inquiry was subsequently launched by Police Scotland.
Detective Inspector Laura Sands said: “Our thoughts remain with Robert Yuill’s family and friends at this very difficult time.
“We are providing his family with support as our investigation continues to establish the full circumstances of what happened.”

Investigating officers are urging anyone with information to come forward and an online portal has been set up for members of the public to submit what they know.
DI Sands added: “Any information, no matter how small, could be vital in establishing what happened to Robert.
“A police presence will also remain in the Lanark area as our enquiries continue and I would encourage anyone with information or concerns to speak with these officers.”
