One person has died and another has been injured after a car exploded outside a hospital in Liverpool.
Merseyside Police confirmed an “incident occurred at around 11am” on Sunday at Liverpool Women’s Hospital.
Images from the scene showed a car on fire and then burnt out.
Police say counter terrorism officers are leading the investigation, but detectives are keeping an “open mind” about a possible motive.
No arrests have been made.
