Just Stop Oil protesters have blocked traffic on the A4 in central London as part of the group’s latest demonstration.
Twenty-five people took up positions across Cromwell Road, near Exhibition Road, close to the Natural History and V&A museums.
The group is continuing to demand the government “halts all new oil and gas licences and consents”.
Cromwell Road is a major route through Kensington and connects other key areas such as Hammersmith and Westminster.
Just Stop Oil said its supporters had “disrupted traffic by sitting in the road with banners” and that some had “glued” themselves to the the tarmac – with others adopting “lock-ons”.
It comes after the disruption to the Dartford Crossing earlier this week when two protesters attached themselves to the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge more than 60m (200ft) above the River Thames.
The two men responsible were removed and arrested on Tuesday.

Just Stop Oil released a statement by one of the protesters at Cromwell Road, Sheila Shatford, a 67-year-old former nurse from Bristol, who said: “We are so short of time now that non-violent civil disobedience seems the only option.
“It’s hard to be ridiculed and reviled by people when I’m sitting on a road but I know that I have to do it.
“This isn’t for me, this is for those without a voice and future generations.
“It would certainly be a lot easier to go back to my own cosy little life.”
