Two men have been jailed after raping a vulnerable woman who was lost in Birmingham.
Fabrice Mpata and Rigobert Ngambe have each been sentenced to 16 years in prison after sexually assaulting the woman, who doesn’t speak English, in August 2022.
Mpata had been driving in Winson Green when he encountered the woman who made it clear she was lost.
He then lured her into his car by saying he was going to take her home.
However, he drove her to an address in Bearwood where he took her inside and raped her.
He then pretended he was going to take her home again – causing her to get back in his car.
Mpata then drove her to an address in Newtown where he raped her again.
She was also raped by Ngambe at the property.
The pair finally let her leave before she alerted a passerby who took her to hospital.

West Midlands Police said officers were able to track Mpata and Ngambe after extensive work using DNA evidence.
Mpata later admitted picking up the woman but claimed this was because she was lost and upset.
He denied having any sexual contact with her.
Ngambe admitted having sex with the woman but tried to convince officers during the interview that it was consensual.
However, officers disproved this on the premise that the woman couldn’t speak English and therefore was not in a position to consent.
Both men have been added to the sex offenders register for life.
