Mason Greenwood has been dropped by sportswear giant Nike following his arrest on suspicion of rape and assault.
The Manchester United footballer was released on bail last week, but the Old Trafford club has said he will remain suspended from training and playing.
At the time, Nike had also suspended its sponsorship deal with him, and have now said in a statement: “Mason Greenwood is no longer a Nike athlete.”
The 20-year-old was arrested over the alleged rape and assault of a young woman on 30 January after images and videos were posted online.
They have since been deleted.
While still in custody, he was further arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill.
He was released on bail on 2 February.
Within hours of the allegations emerging, United said the England international was suspended from playing or training with them until further notice.
The forward, from Bradford, made his debut in 2019 and has since made 129 appearances for United.
He made his senior England debut in 2020.
