A man suspected of stabbing his parents to death is due to appear in court on Saturday.
William Warrington has been charged with murdering his 73-year-old mother Valerie, and his 67-year-old father Clive.
The 40-year-old is being held in police custody ahead of his appearance at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court.
Gloucestershire Police had received reports of a serious assault at about 6.25am on Wednesday, and found Clive Warrington dead at a property on Sherborne Place in Cheltenham.
Later that day, Valerie Warrington’s body was discovered at an address in the village of Bourton-on-the-Water, about 15 miles away.
The pair had been married but had subsequently divorced.
Their family have thanked well-wishers for the “outpouring of love and support” they had received following their deaths.
