A man has admitted spitting on Conservative MP Jamie Wallis outside a railway station.
Kenny Defelice, 44, of Kenton Road in Harrow, northwest London, assaulted the Bridgend MP at Paddington station in London on 24 September last year.
Defelice pleaded guilty at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
He also admitted to resisting arrest.
Prosecutor Tom Heslop told the court Mr Wallis was outside the station on his mobile phone when Defelice approached him and asked for a cigarette.
He kept asking for a cigarette before spitting at Mr Wallis.
The spit landed on the MP’s chest and chin, and Mr Heslop said Defelice admitted to spitting at Mr Wallis during an interview.
