A man accused of killing a schoolboy and attacking four others with a sword has appeared at the Old Bailey.
Marcus Monzo, 36, from Newham, east London, appeared in the dock with four guards during a brief hearing and was told he will face a trial in February.
Details of the injuries to one of his alleged victims, 14-year-old Daniel Anjorin who died, were given by prosecutor Tom Little KC.
The attack happened in Hainault, northeast London, last Tuesday.
Monzo faces charges of murder, two attempted murders, two of grievous bodily harm, aggravated burglary and possession of a bladed article.
He appeared in court dressed in a grey track suit and spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth.
He did not ask for bail and was remanded in custody until another pre-trial hearing in July.
