Recovery services were left clearing up thousands of biscuits after a lorry carrying a large delivery of McVitie’s shed its load in Derbyshire.
The Digestives, Ginger Nuts, and Bourbons were spread across Ilkeston Road, in Sandiacre, after falling out of boxes being stored inside the lorry.
Hundreds of packets of the sweet streets, cardboard boxes, and lots of biscuit crumbs caused slight delays for drivers on Monday night.

Fortunately, people saw the funny side to the incident, with many responding to the tweet with biscuit puns and asking police if they needed help with the clear-up.
