Lee Peacock has been charged with the murders of a man and a woman in Westminster, Scotland Yard has said.
He is accused of killing Sharon Pickles, 45, and Clinton Ashmore, who was 59.
Police found Ms Pickles after being called to Ashbridge Street, not far from Marylebone Station, at 9.30pm on 19 August.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A few hours later, at 2.15am on 20 August, officers were called to Jerome Crescent, just under half a mile away.
Inside they found Mr Ashmore, who was also pronounced dead at the scene.
Peacock, 49, has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
