Comedian Katherine Ryan has revealed she is expecting her second child.
The Canadian comedian made the announcement during a live recording of her podcast Telling Everybody Everything in London on Thursday night.
It’s her first child with husband Bobby Kootstra, who she married in 2019 in a civil ceremony.

Speaking at the podcast recording, Ryan said she was keeping her due date a secret in an effort to stop questions about her bump and avoid comparisons with other mums-to-be.
Her 11-year-old daughter reportedly jumped on stage to express her excitement at being a big sister too.
After Ryan herself shared the news on stage, Kootstra shared a photo of his wife’s baby bump on his Instagram account, adding the caption: “Bringing new life.”
Ryan had previously revealed her baby bump during a recent live recording of ITV2 show Celebrity Juice, but never addressed it.
Earlier this year, she revealed that she suffered a miscarriage in 2020.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, she said: “That conversation is evolving and I’m so glad to see it evolving. Ultimately it’s for the best and it will help a lot of people, especially when they’re still going to scans alone.

“When you’re pregnant for the first time – I would hate to burst women’s bubble, to take that naivety away from them – it can be so joyful.
“At 25 years old with my daughter I hadn’t considered anything bad might happen to me, I went through my pregnancy ‘lalala’ and that’s a wonderful feeling.
“But once you experience a loss like that I don’t think you ever feel the same way with a pregnancy.”
