An illegal ammo dealer who filmed himself brandishing a machine gun in his family home has been jailed for more than 14 years.
Jordan Geoghegan also recorded himself handling a revolver with bullets loaded in the chamber.
The 23-year-old boasted in text messages of being able to buy cheap guns from the US – and how he planned to kill someone with a shotgun.
Police raided his family home in Erdington, Birmingham, and found shotgun cartridges and bullet casing.
They also found tools needed to repurpose blank firing ammunition into lethal bullets.
One of the guns in the video was recovered and was found to be a viable firearm. Police said it was not clear if the others were real or imitation.
Searches of his mobile phones uncovered video footage of him showing off guns – including one occasion where he was walking in public.
Police also found text message conversations indicating he was able to sell guns – from revolvers to assault rifles – as well as homemade ammunition.
Among the messages found by police included one in which he wrote: “Gonna smoke him (kill him). Been tryna fix my dottie (shotgun) to smoke him.
“Can you get me 20 gauge slugs (shotgun cartridges) need them asap!”
He also wrote: “Need a pocket rocket (a small but powerful handgun) for tomorrow g, if you got one cheap that slaps.”

Geoghegan admitted possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition and being involved in the sale or transfer of ammunition.
On Monday, at Birmingham Crown Court, he was jailed for more than 14 years.
