The Duchess of Cornwall has said she is “very honoured” to be endorsed as the future Queen Consort.
Last week, the Queen revealed her “sincere wish” that Camilla is given the title when Prince Charles becomes king, as the 95-year-old monarch gave her Platinum Jubilee message to the nation.
On Thursday, during a visit to a community kitchen based in Notting Hill, west London, the duchess was asked by a guest how she felt about the endorsement.

The 74-year-old replied: “I feel very honoured, very honoured and very touched.”
Camilla also spoke to refugees and volunteers at the West London Welcome charity, who were cooking a rice-based Iranian dish called Loobia Polo for visitors.
Gianni, 59, a local resident who was visiting the Nourish Hub kitchen, presented the duchess with a bouquet of flowers, to which she replied: “Grazie.”

Visit on same day Prince Charles tests positive for COVID
The visit to the Nourish Hub, run by UK Harvest – a charity of which Camilla is patron – was among her first public royal duties since the future queen consort announcement.
UK Harvest collects surplus food from supermarkets and delivers it directly to charities, as well as serving at pop-up hubs and at the kitchen.
Before her visit, Camilla also spoke to staff at Paddington Haven, a sexual assault referral centre in west London, and she was set to appear at Thames Valley Partnership in Aylesbury, another charity for domestic abuse survivors, in the afternoon.
Her trip comes on the same day the Prince of Wales tested positive for COVID-19, but Clarence House confirmed the duchess tested negative for the virus.
