A gunman is on the run after killing a man and woman in western Germany, police have said.
It happened in the centre of the town of Espelkamp in North Rhine-Westphalia.
One of the deceased was killed inside a house and the other just outside it, officers added.
“As things stand it looks like it was a crime rather than terrorism,” a police spokesperson said.
Bild newspaper said special police commandoes had been called to the scene.
