A documentary exploring claims filmmaker Woody Allen molested his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow when she was a child has had its UK release confirmed.
Following its showing in the US, Allen v Farrow will premiere on Sky Documentaries on Monday 15 March.
The 85-year-old director has been critical of the HBO production which features his ex-wife Mia Farrow, as well as his accuser, Dylan.
She alleges Allen, 85, abused her in 1992 when she was seven years old. The decades-old allegations have always been denied by Allen.
The four-part programme also contains new material such as interviews with relatives, investigators, witnesses and family friend Carly Simon.
Allen has been critical of the programme’s content, calling it a “hatchet job” and a “shoddy hit piece”.
While he does not participate, audio excerpts of his memoir, Apropos Of Nothing, are used in the programme.
Allen and his wife, Soon-Yi Previn – who was also one of his adopted children – issued a statement saying its makers had been “collaborating with the Farrows” for years but only approached them for comment with “days to respond”.
Meanwhile, Dylan Farrow thanked people for an “outpouring of support” after the first episode of the documentary aired in the US and shared a link to a group that helps sexual abuse survivors on Twitter.
Thank you to everyone for their kind words, the outpouring of support means more to me than I can say ♥️ Speaking the truth is so difficult, but I hope any fellow survivors who watched last night know they are not alone. The truth is something that cannot be changed.
Now a writer, the 35-year-old wrote: “Speaking the truth is so difficult, but I hope any fellow survivors who watched last night know they are not alone. The truth is something that cannot be changed.”
Allen has long said Mia Farrow made up the claim and planted them in Dylan’s mind after learning that Allen was having an affair with the actress’s then-22-year-old adopted daughter Previn, now his wife.
