Britney Spears has baffled fans by posting a sketch of what appears to be some of Birmingham’s landmarks on her Instagram profile. 

The American pop singer, 42, posted a picture of the sketch saying: “Just a pen and church!”

The image seems to have been inspired by Birmingham’s skyline with St Martin’s Church and Selfridges, at the Bullring shopping centre, in the background.

One fan expressed their bafflement at the Bullring shopping centre featured in the pop star’s drawing.

“Britney Spears posting a sketch she did of the Bullring in Birmingham was not something I was ever expecting to see,” they said on X.

The Bullring shared the drawing on its Instagram account alongside a real-life picture of the iconic sites with a jokey reference to one of her most famous songs, writing: “Sketch me baby one more time!”
