British Airways has revealed its flights are being affected by a “technical issue”, the latest in a series of damaging IT problems for the company.
In response to a customer query, the airline’s Twitter account declared: “We’re investigating and working hard to resolve a technical issue and apologise for the inconvenience.
“We will provide further updates as quickly as possible.”
Some passengers posted updates suggesting they had been told it was a global problem and planes were delayed at its Heathrow’s Terminal 5 base, with customers facing long delays at check-in.
