A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after a woman had hair torn from her scalp in a racially-aggravated attack.
The assault took place outside East Croydon railway station, south London, at around 6.45pm on 18 December after the 31-year-old victim got off a route 119 bus.
Police said she had her hair pulled in the attack, resulting in some of it being ripped from her scalp.
She was then punched in the back of the head, causing her to fall.
On Sunday, the Metropolitan Police said the boy attended a south London police station and was arrested on suspicion of racially-aggravated assault.
He remains in custody.
