Andrew Tate will be allowed to leave Romania while awaiting trial on charges of human trafficking, a court has ruled.

The controversial influencer can travel within the EU without restrictions while awaiting the trial. Until Friday, they had been banned from leaving Romania where he is awaiting trial.

Tate, 37, was charged in mid-2023 along with his brother Tristan for human trafficking, rape, and forming a criminal gang to sexually exploit women.

Two female suspects from Romania have also been charged as part of the case.

They have all denied the allegations against them.

The Bucharest Tribunal’s decision to allow Tate to leave the country was hailed by his spokesperson as a “significant victory and a major step forward” in the case.

In a post on the X social media platform on Friday, Tate wrote: “I’m free. For the first time in three years I can leave Romania.

He also referred to the charges as a “sham case” before advertising a platform that says it teaches the skill of money-making.

Tate repeats these sentiments in a video and adds: “The process is the punishment, in the end I’ll be innocent.”
