Everton goalkeeper Robin Olsen and his family have reportedly been targeted by machete-wielding raiders at their home.

The Premier League player, who is on loan to the club, was said to have been confronted by the masked raiders on Saturday night at his home in Altrincham, Greater Manchester.

The 31-year-old was at the property with his wife and two young children at the time of the incident.

No one is believed to have been injured – but the raiders reportedly left the scene with valuable jewellery and a watch.

Everton were said to be offering the family “as much support as is possible” following their ordeal.

The Swedish international goalkeeper joined Everton from Italian club Roma at the start of the season as part of a season-long loan deal.

Olsen has recently been sidelined by injury and has not figured in a matchday squad since the 2-0 win over Liverpool on 20 February.

Last month, Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti‘s home was targeted when a safe was stolen from his home in Crosby.

Reports said Ancelotti’s daughter was at home alone at the time of the burglary and disturbed the two men during the raid.
