Kanye West has been replaced for Coachella after pulling out of the music festival.
The rapper, now called Ye, was meant to headline the Sunday headline slot.
It was reported earlier in the week that he had dropped out and Coachella has confirmed this after organisers released a new poster with Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd in the Sunday headline slot instead.
In 2011, West headlined in California but hasn’t performed his own set at Coachella since, making guest appearances on The Weeknd’s 2015 set and with Kid Cudi in 2019.
Former One Direction member Harry Styles is still headlining this year’s Friday slot, while Billie Eilish will headline on Saturday.
The change to the line-up comes just a week before the California music festival returns after a two-year COVID enforced hiatus.
West has kept a low profile since he was banned from Instagram for 24 hours for violating the social media platform’s bullying policies.
