Bam Margera, star of the Jackass films and TV shows, has reportedly been issued with a temporary restraining order by the director of the franchise.

Margera’s relationship with the franchise has become increasingly strained, after it was revealed he was dumped from the fourth instalment of the Jackass movies for refusing to go to his contractually-obliged rehab.

It comes only days after Margera railed against director Jeff Tremaine, as well as troupe leader Johnny Knoxville, on Instagram, saying that they “betrayed me, abandoned me, rejected me” and “strung me along like a f***ing puppet”.

In his Instagram TV clip, he also claims that his Jackass co-stars have been “horrible” to him, and made him “jump through hoops” to get his $5 million fee for the movie.

Margera added that he was getting the help he needed in Florida with regards to his addiction problems.

Tremaine’s restraining order on Margera cites claims of harassment, according to Blast, although it is unclear as to what has actually happened.

Addressing his relationship with Margera, Knoxville recently told GQ: “We want Bam to be happy and healthy and get the help he needs.

“We tried to push that along. I think that’s all I really want to say about it.”

Knoxville also added that other troupe member Steve-O, who has also had a well documented struggle with drugs, has recovered from similar problems, saying he had “completely, completely turned his life around and… he’s doing terrific. He’s a different, different man.”

Steve-O responded on social media to Margera’s rant, saying that Knoxville and Tremaine “are the same two people who organised the intervention which saved my life… Everyone bent over backwards to get you in the movie, and all you had to do was not get loaded. You’ve continued to get loaded, it’s that simple”.

Production of the next Jackass film, which sees the troupe perform dangerous, silly and sometimes bizarre stunts, has reportedly begun, but there is no date yet set for its release.
