Taylor Swift appears to have dropped a hint at who she’s backing for US president – and it looks like it could be Kamala Harris.
Speculation began after the pop megastar posted a collection of pictures on her Instagram page on Tuesday from her three performances on consecutive nights in Warsaw during her Eras tour.
On the seventh slide – a picture of her onstage playing guitar – there is a silhouette of what looks like Harris, the Democratic Party’s nominee, also onstage, waving behind Swift.

The picture prompted speculation that Swift was about to pick her horse for November’s election.
One X user wrote: “It really feels like it should be a bigger deal that Taylor Swift left a shadow of Kamala on her Instagram post but I don’t really see anyone talking about it.”
Another said: “[Swift] is lowkey endorsing @KamalaHarris on @instagram. No public statement yet, besides this pic.”
But The Hollywood Reporter quoted a source close to Swift who said the silhouette is one of Swift’s background singers onstage, with such shadows regularly appearing in the background during performances.
Another post, in which Swift was seen performing in a long, flowing yellow gown, also had a silhouette but the figure in question was not waving and looked more natural.
In a post on that picture, Swift made no mention of any impending endorsement, but rather wrote that she “loved those Warsaw shows SO much”, and said she “seriously had the best time” and promised to return to Poland. She signed off by saying “see you soon Vienna!”
It would be a surprise if Swift did not lean towards Harris, with her being known to be pro-choice and an advocate of gender equality, LGBT rights and gun control.
