Princess Beatrice is pregnant and expecting her first child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in the autumn, Buckingham Palace has announced.
The couple married in July last year at a secret ceremony attended by the Queen at All Saints Chapel, Windsor Great Park.
Plans for a public event like her sister Eugenie’s wedding were scuppered by the coronavirus pandemic.
Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year.
The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.

A Buckingham Palace statement said: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year.
“The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”
The child will be The Queen’s 12th great-grandchild, as Harry and Meghan’s second baby is due in the summer.
Beatrice, 32, became an aunt earlier this year when Eugenie gave birth to her first child with Jack Brooksbank.
Her baby will be the another grandchild for parents Prince Andrew and ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York.
Beatrice and Mr Mozzi got engaged in September 2019 following after a whirlwind romance.
In a statement at the time, they said: “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement. We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married.
“We share so many similar interests and values and we know this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.”
The couple’s families had been friends for a number of years, but the pair only started a relationship after Eugenie’s nuptials in October 2018.
Today’s announcement comes on the third anniversary of Harry and Meghan’s wedding, which was held in Windsor on 19 May 2018.
