Detectives have urged anyone who attended a rave at a disused quarry to come forward as they search for a missing teenager.

Frantisek Morris, known as Frankie, was last seen walking in Pentir, near Bangor, Gwynedd, North Wales, at around 1.20pm on 2 May.

The 18-year-old had been among partygoers at an event in Waunfawr, near Snowdonia National Park, the night before he vanished.

North Wales Police are appealing to anyone at the gathering with any photos, videos or information that may help officers to piece together his last movements, to get in touch.

The force has released a picture of the teenager walking past the Vaynol Arms pub in Pentir, at around the time he was last seen.

In the image he is wearing a grey t-shirt and blue shorts, and is pushing a bike which was found near the pub a week later.

The force has received hundreds of calls and online reports following previous appeals over Frankie’s disappearance.

The rave was not an organised event and would have been illegal under coronavirus restrictions in Wales.

But officers are seeking to reassure people that they are simply concerned with learning more about Frankie’s whereabouts.

Detective Chief Inspector Lee Boycott thanked members of the public for their help so far, and said: “I would like to appeal directly to anyone who attended a rave in the disused quarry above Waunfawr on Saturday May 1 who hasn’t already come forward to do so.

“I understand people may be reluctant due to the fact that the rave was not an organised event, but I would like to reassure you that we are only concerned in piecing together as much information about Frankie’s movements as possible.”

He added: “If you were in the area on Sunday 2 May and may have seen Frankie please get in touch, especially if you have dashcam or any other form of video.

“Finally, I would ask residents in Pentir and the surrounding areas to check any sheds or outbuildings on their land, and contact us if you find anything out of the ordinary.”
