“Die Tory scum” has been daubed on Jeremy Hunt’s constituency office.
Police are investigating and believe the incident took place between 8pm and 9pm on Monday.
Mr Hunt represents the South West Surrey constituency, but will be standing in the newly named Godalming and Ash seat at the next election following boundary changes.

The chancellor has been MP for the area since 2005, which has been Conservative since it was created in 1983.
The incident, first reported in the Woking News and Mail, took place at Mr Hunt’s office in Hindhead.

The government recently announced a new pot of money to help protect MPs – with Home Secretary James Cleverly saying no MP should have to accept threats as “part of the job”.
In recent weeks, pro-Palestine protesters have gathered outside the home of Tory backbencher Tobias Ellwood – with Tory MP Mike Freer announcing he would stand down after his office was subject to an arson attack.
Mr Hunt said: “The British people are famously tolerant which is why we have one of the most robust democracies in the world. We won’t be deterred by a few idiots.”

A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: “Officers were called following reports of criminal damage at a property on Tilford Road in Hindhead, which is believed to have taken place between 8pm and 9pm on Monday 4 March.
“The criminal damage involved graffiti being sprayed on the windows on the outside of the property. No one was present in the property at the time of the criminal damage.”
