An investigation has been launched over the “unexplained” death of a woman in South Lanarkshire.
The woman’s body was discovered in a property in Newfield Place, Rutherglen, at around 12.45am on Friday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”

It follows the separate discovery of a body in Police Scotland’s search for a missing woman.
Although formal identification is yet to take place, the family of Clare Marshall have been informed.
The 64-year-old left the Dundee Road area of Perth in the early hours of Monday and is believed to have walked to Moncreiffe Island.
A body was recovered near the island at around 12.50pm on Thursday.
