The Big Bang Theory actress Kate Micucci says she is “cancer-free” after having surgery last week.
The 43-year-old said she was diagnosed with lung cancer despite having “never smoked a cigarette in my life”.
But the surgery “went great”, she told fans on TikTok.
She said: “I have great news, which is that I am cancer-free!”
“All the reports came back that it worked. I don’t need to do any other treatment.
“So big thank you to all my doctors and nurses and everyone that took just really great care of me.
“And thanks to figuring it out early because I am very, very lucky and I know that.”

Micucci, who played Lucy, the love interest of Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar), on The Big Bang Theory, previously posted what she called a “sick Tok” from her hospital bed.
She said the diagnosis had come as a surprise, “but also, I guess it happens”.
“And so the greatest news is they caught it early, they got it out, I’m all good,” she added.
“But it’s been a little bit of a trip and [I’ll] probably be moving slow for a few weeks, but then I’ll be back at it.”
