A child rescue alert has been issued for a 14-year-old girl who went missing three days ago in County Louth, Republic of Ireland.
Police said in a statement they are concerned about Svetlana Murphy, who was last seen leaving her home in Blackrock at 4pm on 19 April with Nojus Maculevicius, 18, in a silver Hyundai Veloster.
The pair were seen in the Newry at about 7pm on Monday and police believe the car was seen in the greater Belfast area on 21 April.
There is an “immediate and serious risk to the health or welfare of Svetlana”, An Garda Síochána said.
Ms Murphy is described as 5ft 1in with a slim build and has brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a navy tracksuit bottom with a red and white stripe on the leg, a black zipped top and black shoes when she went missing.
Mr Maculevicius is described as 6ft with a slim build, dark brown hair and is clean-shaven. He was wearing dark grey Snickers work trousers, a black Snickers top and may have been wearing a khaki green hoodie and either black boots of Adidas running shoes.
Police have urged those who see the pair not to approach them, but to immediately call 999 or 112.
