The Prince and Princess of Wales are looking for a chief executive officer who is “emotionally intelligent” with a “low ego” to oversee their royal household.
William and Kate have taken on more responsibilities since the Queen‘s death last year, and they aim to appoint an executive who can develop and execute their long-term strategy.
Traditionally, someone with a military background, often a former senior officer, would typically oversee the operations of a senior Royal Family member’s office in the capacity of the “master of the household”.
But this CEO will have a direct reporting line to the couple, reflecting a more modern approach to managing their royal affairs.
The recruitment process is being managed by Odgers Berndtson, tasked with identifying the most suitable candidate.
The online advert says: “The CEO is the most senior and accountable leader for the Household, reporting directly to TRHs The Prince and Princess of Wales.
