A 10-year-old cyclist has suffered “potentially life-changing” injuries after a crash in South Wales.
South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision in Llanharry, Rhondda Cynon Taf, between the boy and an Audi A5 which they say was driven by a 32-year-old woman.
The crash happened on Wednesday on Addison Avenue in the village.
The Welsh Ambulance Service said it was called at 5.18pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a cyclist in the Llanharry area of Pontyclun.
“We sent two rapid response cars and an emergency ambulance to the scene, where the crew were also supported by an air ambulance,” a spokesperson said.
“One person was taken by road to the University Hospital of Wales.”
