Police have launched a murder investigation after the bodies of a man and a woman were discovered at a house in Suffolk.
Officers responded to a call at the house on Cumberland Street in Woodbridge at around 6.15pm on Saturday after reports of a death.
A post-mortem examination found that the woman, who was in her 60s, died as a result of compression to her neck, and the death is being treated as murder, Suffolk Police said.
The man death of the man, who was in his 70s, is not thought to be suspicious.
The bodies have not yet been formally identified, but investigators say the two people were known to each other and there is no wider threat the public.
They do not believe anyone else was involved in the incident.
