Two boys have been charged by police after the attempted murder of a 25-year-old man in northeast Scotland.
The victim was seriously injured near the fountain in the High Street area of Elgin in Moray at around 10.45pm on Sunday.
The boys, aged 14 and 15, were arrested and have been charged in connection with the incident, said Police Scotland.
A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal and the teenagers are expected to appear before Elgin Sheriff Court at a later date.
